Only in NY

Its a Monday, lunchtime and I wanted a bite to eat. On my way toward Rockefeller Center, I decided that I wanted BK for lunch. As I was waiting in the line, I overheard the assistant manager correct the trainee to not say "hello". It went something like:

Trainee: "Hello, Welcome to Burger King, how may I help you".
Asst Mgr: "No, don't say 'hello', just 'Welcome to...'"

Only in NY would you get a superior telling their employee not to be too courteous. :-)
